    What is a food Co-op?

    A food co-op is a consumer
    cooperative that provides food,
    household items, and services for
    its members and patrons.

    How did the Riverbend Market
    Cooperative begin?

    The Riverbend Market Cooperative
grew out of the study of
    sustainability principles using the
    Natural Step program.  It is
    organized to correct production and
    market conditions in our current
    food system.  By organizing local
talent and resources we will be able
    to ensure that the guidelines
    established by our cooperative, such
    as quality, sustainabiliiy, and social
    responsiblity will be met.
